I am super excited to announce our newest plans for a walking holiday in Romania! This time I have teamed up with Sylvia to design a holiday in Romania, just as we like it. Plenty of nature, lots of culture and interesting architecture, lovely walks that are challenging enough, but not too challenging (hey, it’s a holiday!).
We will be staying in comfortable rooms, in beautiful surroundings and there will be plenty of time to enjoy the good life and fabulous traditional food.

We will be visiting the area around Maramures, a beautiful and relatively undiscovered north western area of Transylvania. Lonely Planet listed Transylvania at Number One of the best places in the world to travel in 2016 and National Geographic named Maramures as one of best European destinations.

Some of the highlights of our walks will be a walk to the Lapus Gorge, Satra Mountain and a lunch at the monastery, a trip to the shepherds, a visit to the Unesco World Heritage protected church in Rogoz and a walk in a WWF recognised ancient forest.

Sylvia and I are just putting together the final details and budgets, so keep an eye out for further announcements!
