Sea Kayak adventure talk – new date 15 February 2017
Missed Ailien’s story about her sea kayak adventure in September and 7 February?
We didn’t want to disappoint you so we have added a new date: Join us 15 February at the Milkwood Bar in Herne Hill for another chance to hear and see it first hand.
In June 2016, Fit and Happy Outdoors Founder Ailien got into her kayak and paddled out of the Thames then turned right. She had given herself 2.5 months off to explore the coast of this beautiful country.
Expeditioning solo and unsupported, occasionaly accompanied by seals, birds, sunfish and some human friends, she landed in Trearddur Bay on Anglesey at the end of August. Along the way, she met people from all walks of life, enjoyed the ever changing landscape, navigated tides and waves, and even found herself shipwrecked in the middle of one summer’s night.
Come and join us for a presentation about this uplifting and inspiring tale about adventure, following your dreams and the friendliness of strangers.
Admission is free, but we hope you will respect the welcome of Milkwood Bar by buying some food or a drink or two at the bar!
Milkwood bar has a cool little cinema, but seats are limited, so please reserve your seat.
